How long they last depends on the quality of the battery and how you take care of your vacuum (see manual for exact maintenance info like cleaning the various parts monthly or more often and checking for blockages that hamper performance and make the battery work harder). It also depends on how much max mode (see Dyson's battery care page for how max mode destroys batteries even theirs!). Also, some customers use this vacuum daily and others once a week, and others everything in between. The more you use, the more often you'll kill the battery.
